I know I still have to blog extensively about nationals but I just woke up from a nap that included yet another triathlon dream and I just had to blog about it.
First of all the swim was in a marsh and it consisted of only pros (either I was a pro or I was the only amateur racing with the pros..)
They were doing the 5 second count down and I look down into the water to discover lots of caps and goggles floating just below the surface - including mine.
I frantically try to grab it and put them on but they keep floating just out of my reach.
The buzzer goes off, everyone takes off like minnows in a net...
Katie is still putting on her cap and goggles - now covered in pond gook.
I get them on and start swimming and as I put my face under the water it turns into an ocean scene - complete with the creepy ocean fish, not the pretty ones.
I find myself in the front of the pack (Suddenly I'm a great swimmer now?)
The entire swim is in 3 ft water and below us float various bike parts, bike gloves, goggles, caps, etc.
Instead of swimming around in a circle around buoys we just kind of swim around the pond in a school of fish fashion until I wake up.
It was like the land where triathlon and triathlon gear go to die.
