Squishy Carpet

My lab book got a perm. And no matter how long I begged, pleaded, cried, and blow dried last night...I have no choice. It must be redone. It's 2 in the morning and I'm up graphing population survivorship curves. *Sigh.* I spend $12,000 on housing a year and what do I get? A swamp in the middle of my room that ruins my lab book, my notebooks, and my transition bag. Now all I need is some fish, maybe an alligator or two, a snake...get some plant life in here...I might as well go all out. I bet my engineer friends can construct me a waterfall. On the upside, B and I are having a ball playing, "Lava." So far I've monkey'd across my dressers, my desk, my bed, over my bike, on top of the fridge, across 2 plastic drawer sets, and onto a chair for my Cliff bar. Quite fun, brings me back to my child hood.

Same Shit, Different Pile.

The longer I'm in college, the more I believe that history truly is cyclical, not linear - Sorry, Karl. Did you know the idea of cyclical history originates in Greece? Well, with all those philosophers wandering about I probably could have guessed. Brit studies Greece like its her JOB and she didn't warn me about this..what the eff roomie? Anyway, though there is more and more evidence that history is linear, personally? It's circular. One, HUGE, massive circle. This week is the one year anniversary of "Shit Hit the Fan Week." And to celebrate? Shit is hitting the fan - who woulda thunk it? 364 days ago: this week was, without a doubt, the worst week of the year. Al, Anya, B, and I suffered immense repercussions of what we thought were good ideas. Unfortunately, everything turned out TERRIBLE. I cannot disclose everything that happened because its confidential information that only a select few know. But basically: everything we did was completely shut down. Every...
