Speed Concept 9.5

This sucks. I officially have done nothing today except lay in bed, sleep, and eat. I feel like a lazy piece of crap. I swear if I get ONE MORE injury this season I'm giving up triathlon forever. Who am I kidding? That's a lie. But honestly, this is dumb. I just want Dr. Jones to be in working order and my head to stop hurting. I also want the new Speed Concept TT bike in the window of Int'l Bikes...pictured above. I literally walk out of my way to stop and stare at it everyday. Sadly. It's even in my favorite color! I mean it's not my racing colors: black, red, and yellow..but I'd be willing to replace red with lime green... Helloooo wouldn't I look great on that bike? Crash

Cycling at 21 is definitely not as much fun as cycling at 20 - maybe this is where I hit my peak and it all goes downhill from here. I hope not, if so that was a short, sweet, and injury filled career. Last week my coworker Holly told me that someone from my triathlon team came in and she asked if he knew me, and he said, "Yea! She's the one who's always injured!" Holly laughed and agreed - now assured that they were talking about the same Katie. Well, true to my reputation, about 2 weeks after I fully recovered from my sprained forefoot and I felt totally ready to throw myself back into training, I find myself joining the ranks of the concussed. I planned on a 40 mile ride, and was on the last 5 miles on Beacon in Newton, going about 17 on a flat - nice and easy - when all the sudden I find myself slammed into a black SUV. Thankfully God put a nice little landing pad underneath me so the only thing that actually hit the pavement was my head. I'm a little bruised,...
