I love those moments where you finally just let yourself go, unguarded, and have a good time. Last night, "I'm not drinking tonight" turned into, "Okay fine I'll play the game." Which turned into me losing, which equals having to drink more. So then the whole, "I have work tomorrow" turned into, "This orange vodka/orange juice combo is great!" Which turned into the music being turned up..because then everyone lost the game. Once the music is turned up, the Flight of the Conchords mix we were listening to seemed entirely inappropriate. Something about Bret and Jermaine singing, "Fruity Fa Fa" just isn't appealing at midnight on a Sunday...especially after 3 of the guys there finished a half ironman 70.3 today - a huge accomplishment which can only be celebrated with pasta, sleep, and beer.
