Reality Check

Chris got his job for the air force! *drum roll please* Mechanical - Developmental engineering! - WHEW. I tried not letting him know how anxious I was for his job...if he got Civil engineering he'd deploy for a year at a time every 6 months for 4 years. Ouch. But with Developmental he'll be safe in the US doing research in labs and only go on shorter trips (most likely...hopefully.) And most importantly, he's really excited about it so that makes me really excited about it! So now to choose base assignments! This is the fun part. I made a spread sheet of pros and cons of each and we're trying to figure out if he wants to do GPS research, space and rocketry, flight test engineering, or bombs (I'm not quite sure what "bombs" entails but I don't know if I like it.) Some options include: 1. Southern Cali outside Santa Barbara (I'm pulling for this one) 2. 2 bases in Colorado - would be equally awesome 3. Florida by Cape Canaveral - learn to surf, get a...
