I had a really amazing conversation with a teammate of my yesterday that lasted for a good portion of the afternoon. I've never really opened up to anyone that much who isn't really close to me. Him and I are close in the way that you're supposed to be with a teammate - he knows my injuries, my bike's name, and that I hate running. We joke around a lot about things that really don't matter and are actually very snotty towards one another, completely joking around, though. But yesterday we just got to talking about I realized we are very, very similar in the way we think and understand the world. It's really nice to reach a new level of friendship, one where I know I can trust him with my problems and really talk to him about them. What I really appreciate is that he knows enough about my friends to know who I'm referring to, but not enough to judge me or care - does that make sense?
