Thanks, Mom

Just when the caterpillar thought the world was ending, it turned into a butterfly. This is my mom's favorite quote- this and the one about the soul being dyed the color of its thoughts. But anyway, I haven't met one person who doesn't love this quote. It's completely true - and goes along with my, "good things fall apart so better things can fall together" quote. I just adore these short, simple phrases that hold so much truth and inspiration. I also appreciate this one because it's beautiful and something that should be written down on a mirror or the frig, but it's not cheesy and doesn't belong on the front of a Hallmark card with sparkles and flowers. Anyway, I liked it and I thought you might, too. love love love me

Live, Laugh, Love

As I was strug-festing through Harvard Square in my brown suede 3 inch heels I had a realization: This...I cannot do. I cannot do this. As much as I would love to be one of those girls who can walk miles on end in heels and feel perfectly comfortable and pull off the whole khaki-skirt-j.crew-top- I'm always put together and I know I look fabulous power suit (Kudos to my girl Al and my sis Shanna) It's just not me. I'm sorry, I tried. Really I did. So here's the thing: Of course I'm still doing the doctor of audiology thing. I love my classes and I adore the idea of helping others, and learning sign language. The Doctor surname sounds awesome, I'm stoked about it. I know it's going to be one of the hardest things I've ever done, but it's worth it. But here's a little change of thought: Instead of being the traditional lab coat, done up hair, make up, working in a hospital 9 hour days...why don't I actually do something I want to do and go to...
