So IF I were to found a fundraiser...
Oh wait! I did! It's called CapeRide. It's a 130 mile bike ride from Sandwich, MA to Provincetown, mA and back...for those who are not from New England...that's the length of Cape Cod and back.
Yessiree I'm riding the length of a peninsula and back - what a sweat!
Why you ask?
Well first of all, it's a blast.
I love the burning, aching, sore, numb, jello -legged feeling I get around mile 70 and the realization I have 50 more miles of pedaling. I love being dehydrated, malnourished, and starving for 6 hours. I love dodging cars, potholes, dog packs, and fainting. I love pedaling up hills just to realize there's no downhill. I love the excitement of turning around expecting a tailwind only to find another headwind. I love the back aches, the shaking fingers, and the cramped up calves.
In fact, I love it SO much I'm willing to go out of my way to raise money to do it! This year I'm teaming up with 20 other riders to do this for charity. On may 16th we're riding 130 miles to support Fisher House and The Hall Steps foundation.
So please help if you can!!
