summer 2011

Summer!!!! I don't think I've ever been so excited for a summer to come, and as fast as this one snuck up on me, I'm so glad it's here. I even finished off with a decent GPA! So far I have a 3.5 with 2 grades in the system - so we'll see. I somehow pulled a 95 on my cognitive final out of my butt so that raised my B- that I had a B+ - WIN. And I scraped by clinical with an A-...so now I just have my nutrition grade (I'm pretty sure I have a 96% in that class, what a joke.) and my LX grade - which she already told me is a B+ (Dropped down from an A- with the final - NUTS. Maybe she'll take pity on me and bump me back up...I was a great student...totally interested in everything she had to say and absolutely NEVER rolled my eyes or made fun of her...not. So maybe I deserve the B+...)

Anyway. All in all it was a very hard, but very great semester - probably the best one I've had at BU. I am absolutely in love with my suitemates - I'm so sad to see them go - and so happy to find a roommate I actually fully get along with and totally love. I'm going to miss my Frenchie this summer :( But there's always next year when we're roommates again!

But for now I'm back to my old tricks of summer - waking up at 7 am staring at the ceiling twiddling my fingers until Chris finally emerges from the dungeon downstairs. Well, except this morning I was super good and went for a 5k run and started GRE studying. WHO IS OFF TO A PRODUCTIVE SUMMER!? THIS ONE.
Hopefully I keep it up.

Anyway. I'm going back to the daunting task of icing my shins, studying math, and staring at the carpet until one of these Tommila's wakes up and plays with me :)

Snowbasin 2/9/2013

FINALLY found a badass chica to hit the slopes with! YEAH! Yesterday the visibility was about 0 but it was a solid day at Snowbasin. I took my GoPro along with me and then edited it into a video that looks semi-interesting. That's Kate on the snowboard, the camera is attached to my head so you get a solid look at the fog and me falling a few times. Skiing/Snowboarding Movie

Weekend

As promised, here's a blog about my weekend - I know you've been sitting on the edge of your rolly computer chair waiting for it with bated breath. Friday after my guitar class, which went not-so-fabulously, as per usual, Chris and I had a little adventure to Harpoon Brewery where we met up with my ever beloved (and apparently much talked about) bff Dave. It took us a little adventuring and a little guessing to get there but we made it there and home with lots of "I have a hunch this is the way to go"-ing. It convinced me fully that we'd be great on a European back-packing trip together. We don't fight, we don't argue, we don't get frustrated, we just laugh and follow our gut. Which led us to beer! Isn't that what Germany is all about?  Anyway, Harpoon was awesome. You just go, hear about beer, and drink all you want. I picked up a growler of the cider - highly recommended. We literally guessed what bus to get on to get home and turns out it led...
