Talk about past mistakes coming and biting in the ass...uh, foot.

I just cut my foot open on wood pile in the middle of my room. No, I'm not planning on starting a bonfire in Rich, though a s'more would be nothing less than delectable right now. And I'm not sending my dorm up in flames, either...I doubt the carpet would catch on fire anyway after all that flooding that went on last week. So this wood deal. There's 5 chunks of wood piled in the middle of my room because drunk Katie decided it was socially acceptable to go absolutely ape-shit on her furniture last weekend. Basically I came in at 4:30 am, pissed off to no end and emotionally distraught. Obviously the first thing I did was to change...and my jammed drawer was the only thing in my way. So if you would have happened to walk in at ohhh say...4:37 am or so? You would have seen Katie, in her matching underwear and bra, ripping apart a drawer. If I had been a little less dramatic and emotional I would have done what I always do and take the top drawer out, push down the clothes...

Tri Love

I had a really amazing conversation with a teammate of my yesterday that lasted for a good portion of the afternoon. I've never really opened up to anyone that much who isn't really close to me. Him and I are close in the way that you're supposed to be with a teammate - he knows my injuries, my bike's name, and that I hate running. We joke around a lot about things that really don't matter and are actually very snotty towards one another, completely joking around, though. But yesterday we just got to talking about I realized we are very, very similar in the way we think and understand the world. It's really nice to reach a new level of friendship, one where I know I can trust him with my problems and really talk to him about them. What I really appreciate is that he knows enough about my friends to know who I'm referring to, but not enough to judge me or care - does that make sense? He has an unbiased opinion because he doesn't personally know them, I re...

Wise Teeth.

Oh and my wisdom teeth are coming in... I feel neither wise nor comfortable. In fact, I just have a constant headache and sore throat. And I can't stop playing with it! Ahhh!!! Some one get these things out =( The wisdom teeth are the WORST teeth to come in because A of all, you don't lose anything to get them in so the tooth fairy never comes. B of all, most of the time you have to get surgery to get them removed, causing extensive bleeding and discomfort...but sometimes you get drugs, yay! And C, it reminds you that you're OLD.

More stuff!

Today I had a shoegasm. And yes, that is absolutely possible. My Zoot racing shoes came in and oh my goodness, they are heaven on my feet - I am completely and absolutely in love with them. And the icing on the cake is that they're red and white! I had to pry them off my own feet ...some newly single girls buy stilettos and little black dresses...I buy racing shoes and compression socks ;) I can't wait to try them when it finally stops raining...I am so sick of being either slightly damp and chilled or completely drenched. And Boston was such a tease last week with it's 70 degree weather and sun!!! That was absolutely insane and made me miss summer so much it almost hurt. love love love me

Survey says? I was right.

The whole shit/fan thing? Yeah...it happened. I knew it! This week one year from now I refuse to go out, abso-fucking-lutely over my dead body not!!! Absolutely nothing this weekend went the way I expected it, just looove when God throws me curve balls. But, this just in: I suck at baseball. I was the girl staring at clouds and braiding flowers and spinning in circles in the outfield. I also screamed and ducked when the hoss of a girl "pitched" the ball. The coach loved me. Okay truth? Over all the weekend wasn't a complete train wreck. Friday was well, it threw me for a loop....Actually I'm still in denial about Friday. No, not even denial...I'm down right pretending it never existed. I will just never understand some things in this world, and I guess that is just something I have to accept. Some endeavors are just completely pointless, but regardless they have to be tried, just in case for some odd/shot in hell chance it turns out to be completely opposite of ho...

I'm sick of going to bed every night thinking, "Maybe tomorrow will be better."

This morning my alarm broke the silence of Boston at 6 am this morning. And I had a choice: I could either immediately silence it, roll over, go back to bed and pretend nothing happened...or I could get my ass up and DO something. At first I turned it off. I even started a text to Kayle canceling our little cycling date. Then my phone messed up so I took it as a sign. And then I had a thought. My philosophy professor (I have to break in, for as much as I HATE my philosophy class...I DO quote it a lot.) Nietzsche, as screwed up as he was, had a theory about will. And basically he said our life is guided either by a strong will or a weak will. And the stronger your will, the more you are able to trump your hedonistic desires. My hedonist side was telling me to roll over and go to bed. But then there was this muuuuch smaller little voice, approximately the size of a pin head, that told me to get up, put on the spandex and meet Kalye. So then I said to myself, "Self: how strong is you...

True Love

Literally...cannot stop smiling. I hate when people have pictures of puppies, "kissing" and cats "cuddling"..I mean they're not really. So stop trying to personify animals. They're just trying to stay warm and maybe get some "awww"s and dinner out of you. But this??? This otter is really, truly, and absolutely thinking, "Why, yes. Your flipper is the flipper I want to be holding right now." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKPx5OaMHjw&fmt=18
