SB continued

Officially, this spring break went by way too fast - I only have 2 days left of it! Between getting lost cycling in Dover 3 times, running 35 miles, eating my weight in Ramen noodles, vegging out on Julie's ouch overlooking the Charles, spending far too much money going out with my C.S. team, not doing any work except what's at Citysports...my break wasn't as dull as I originally thought it was going to be. The monotony was broken up with several small, daily events that kept it interesting enough while still giving me my "much needed" relaxation time. Actually this entire semester has been relaxation time...I'm not sure what I'm talking about. Monday Lydia and I did a 70 mile bike ride through Dover. We ended up turned around and lost somewhere southwest of Boston but using her awesome sense of direction we were able to get ourselves back on track - unlike when I'm alone. If I had done that ride without Lydia I'm pretty sure I'd still be bik...

Promises

Let it be known that today is the day that Christopher sent the following text (I'm documenting for future reference): *Context: I was discussing how I wouldn't mind Boston being haunted during the blackout because ghosts are cool and Boston would have some really good ghosts (Hello, John Adams..Sam Adams...John Hancock...maybe Paul Revere? Not sure where he died...anyway... Chris : Can we please not have a haunted house dear? I don't like the ghosts. Katie : Ok okkk fineee Chris : You can have anything you want except ghosts I repeat, "you can have anything you want except ghosts." Perfect! Cause I had some stuff in mind... Two husky puppies, a dwarf bunny, maybe a rat (I need to save at least one from biomedical engineering *cough*dave!*cough*), definitely some horses with a big cedar barn, a sweet basement with a big screen tv and laziboy recliners (the leather kind with cup holders), a spinning room with a projector, a guitar room, a hunter-green J...

SB '12

Well...I'm pretty much chillin' alone on my spring break here in Boston. Apart from my work friends and a few random, sporadic people here and there, it's safe to say I'm pretty much a loner - since when is that news? I like that I don't have to around people or entertained 100% of the time and  doing my own thing has been actually pretty fabulous. I've been invited to do a couple of things the last couple nights and honestly, I think I've enjoyed staying home, reading, watching movies, and painting my nails more than I'd enjoy going out. I'll be ready for everyone to come home in a few days and I'll start to miss my friends by Thursday, but for now, I'm thoroughly enjoying putting me first and being a little bit selfish with how I want to spend my time. I think everyone needs that from time to time :) Thus far the peaks of my days on SB have been: Saturday - all day C.S. team bonding....and by all day I literally mean from 10:30 in the mo...

Somethin' About those Cyclists

As much as I only have eyes for my Christopher and I'm hopelessly in love with him...well...we all have our celeb crushes. Chris' is Lolo Jones...and I love Andy Schleck.  ....who oddly looks a lot like Chris. Who has a type? Katie has a type. Tall, skinny, blonde cyclists are kinda my thing. Schleck Won't Claim Tour Title

Neighbors

I need soundproof walls so I can blast this song without my neighbors being so dramatic. At least I'm not singing an acoustic rendition of "Girl's got a dirty (insert vulgar word that my mother requested be taken off this blog)"...as they have been so apt to do the past couple days. As inspiring as that one is...the battle continues. Gone in the Morning

Ogden, Utah

Where Chris is going to be based next year! Already in planning mode...gonna need a mountain bike and some dogs...

Eddie's Surprise Birthday

Infinite amounts of love to my Citysports crew...starting with kidnapping Eddie from work and feeding him peanutbutter cupcakes for breakfast to 12 hours later eating pizza at White Horse and every moment in between, I had an absolute blast today. Even though I'm exhausted, out about $75, in a sugar coma, and I have Celine Dion stuck in my head, I wish we could do the day all over again. Off to go sleep for 12 hours now!
