Somethin' About those Cyclists

As much as I only have eyes for my Christopher and I'm hopelessly in love with him...well...we all have our celeb crushes. Chris' is Lolo Jones...and I love Andy Schleck.  ....who oddly looks a lot like Chris. Who has a type? Katie has a type. Tall, skinny, blonde cyclists are kinda my thing. Schleck Won't Claim Tour Title

Neighbors

I need soundproof walls so I can blast this song without my neighbors being so dramatic. At least I'm not singing an acoustic rendition of "Girl's got a dirty (insert vulgar word that my mother requested be taken off this blog)"...as they have been so apt to do the past couple days. As inspiring as that one is...the battle continues. Gone in the Morning

Ogden, Utah

Where Chris is going to be based next year! Already in planning mode...gonna need a mountain bike and some dogs...

Eddie's Surprise Birthday

Infinite amounts of love to my Citysports crew...starting with kidnapping Eddie from work and feeding him peanutbutter cupcakes for breakfast to 12 hours later eating pizza at White Horse and every moment in between, I had an absolute blast today. Even though I'm exhausted, out about $75, in a sugar coma, and I have Celine Dion stuck in my head, I wish we could do the day all over again. Off to go sleep for 12 hours now!

Reason #283,291 why I hate Boston.

I was crossing the street in front of my dorm when this car that was dropping someone off tried to be all cool and 'speed off' after they closed the door. The 2 idiot girls in the car weren't looking and ended up SKIDDING, and I mean SCREECHING, to a stop about 2 feet in front of this other girl and I walking. I let out a little scream and the other girl walking next to me looked at me and I go, "Oh my god, that almost gave me a heart attack!" She looked at me like I had 5 heads (you know the look...the "Ismellsomethingbadandyoulookstupid look..), didn't say anything, and preceded to walk on. WOULD IT KILL YOU, Miss Attitude, to talk to a person you don't know? Maybe crack a smile? Maybe get the giant pole that's jammed so far up your ass loosened just enough to connect with someone else other than one of the people you deemed worthy? Some of the attitudes people have up here...honestly, it astounds me. If that had happened in Missouri, I guara...

Colin's Bachelor Party

Saturday morning at 10:30 am you could find me and some of my favorite people in the world sprinting down the street in Somerville dressed as barbarians and lumberjacks, pushing shopping carts, screaming out heads off racing to 5 different bars. We almost won the 'race,' if you even want to call it that. However, despite wearing winter boots we all still managed to pull off like 7:30 m/miles from bar to bar - I'd say that's pretty impressive. Chris and I won the first challenge at the bar by being able to get two teabags that were attached to a baseball hat to swing on top of our heads - who knew we were such a talented couple? The next challenge at the next bar we had to get a slinky on our head - again, Chris did that one. He's so good at random, useless talents. I'm pretty sure Colin won the next challenge - pole dancing at the Middle East. We all tied in the next challenge as we were all able to booty shake ping pong balls out of a kleenex box atta...

Snow Shmoe

Well it's blizzarding in Boston - who wuda thunk it? It goes all winter without so much as a dusting and then bam. March is here and, finally, so is the snow. I doubt it'll stick around long enough for me to use my new skis but hey, at least snow looks nice. It gives the city a sort of semi-clean, pretty lens....until it turns grey and gross and I have to tromp across the BU bridge a mile to class and then sit through an hour and a half of lecture soaking wet and shivering...oh and my Columbia winter boots? Make me look like an australopithecus. Or a winter version of an Amazon woman. AKA... like I slayed an elk and stuck it on my foot. ...anyway. Today I was so die-hard about getting back on my running schedule I ignored the fact that I still have a little chest congestion and the fact that it's a white out and went for a nice jog over to my new favorite place to do track workouts - the Fens. You might ask...why go all the way to the Fens? What's more fun than doin...
